Boris Zakharovitch Milner
Professor Boris Zakharovich Milner is a distinguished expert in the sphere of management and organization. He is Chief Deputy Director at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Boris Z. Milner was born in Cherkassy on November 10, 1929. He graduated from the All-Union Extramural Institute of Law, and from Moscow Ordzhonikidze Institute of Engineering and Economics. He is the Professor since 1967. In 1998 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics. Professor Milner was also awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science and Engineering of Russia.
After getting his university degree, Boris Z. Milner worked at Klimovsk Machine-building Plant; then he became a member of the "Sotsialistichesky Trud" journal editorial staff.
Since 1963 Professor Milner was involved in research and educational activity first at Moscow Plekhanov Institute of National Economy, then at the USA and Canada Institute, where for many years he headed the Department of Management Systems.
In 1969-1976, Professor Milner worked as Deputy Director at the Research Institute of System Studies under the State Science and Engineering Committee and the State Academy of Sciences.
Since 1987 Professor Milner is the ` Chief Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics under the Russian Academy of Sciences.
